SPIDER-MAN

Peter Parker, a brilliant chemistry student, has always been a favorite for science teachers but gets a lot of bullying around by bigger guys at college. After his parents passed away in an accident his aunt May and uncle Ben took him in. Since then they have been his only family.

Life at school was tough for young Peter. Everyone used to taunt and tease him for being a nerd. Harry Osborn - son of  Norman Osborn, the industrial head of OSCORP - was his only good friend. Sometimes Peter would get angry at the bullying he received and would make a resolve to punish all those who teased him but it seemed as the chance would never come.

Mary Jane Watson, a beautiful, sweet and lovely girl. Peter was in love with her the first time he saw her. But poor guy was never able to muster up the courage to express his feelings to his sweetheart.

Peter would often think that he might never get the chance to tell MJ about how he feels about her. But one day everything changed! While Peter was working on a science project about genetice mutation in a special specie of spiders, in a college laboratory he got bitten by a spider. But this spider was no ordinary spider. Its bite infected Peter and he immediately lost consciosness. 

When he woke up, Peter found himself lying in his room. He had no recollection of how he got there. He tried to stand up but his legs were numb and he felt sick to his stomach. He passed out again and saw a very wierd dream about spiders crwaling all over is skin and biting him everywhere.

His aunt's loud banging on the door brought him back to consciousness. He got up and opened the door and was shocked to hear from her aunt that he has been in his room since three days. As his aunt went away, Peter began to wonder about what has happened to him. Was he beaten up at school again? Did he eat something bad? Nothing was making sense. Then suddenly his gaze jammed at the back of his right hand. It was swollen from the spider bite he had at the laboratory. But Peter felt no pain or sickness anymore. He looked closely at his fingers and to his astonishment he saw tiny spider legs all over them. In panic he jerked his hand when suddenly something white shot out of it. At first he could not understand what was happening but as he tried to remember, it dawned upon him that the bite from the spider had somehow mutated his genetic code and he was no longer an ordinary lad. He jmped out of the window and decided to take a walk around the city.

Strolling around he suddenly felt a tingling sensation as if something wrong was about to happen. He turned around and saw a thug snatching a lady's purse and coming his way. The lady shouted at him to stop the thug but Peter stood unmoved. A policeman in pursuit of the thug shouted "Make youself useful young man". A gunshot was heard at a  distance and screams were heard. Peter walked towards the crowd that had gathered around the corner and as he peeked through, he was petrified for a moment. His uncle Ben lay in the middle of the crowd, covered in blood. The policeman, Peter had encoutered earlier looked at him in resent and said that this could have been prevented if he had shown some courage. Tears began to pour down Peter's face as he moved closer to his uncle's lifeless body. A great sense of guilt and pain engulfed him. If only he had shown some courage, had felt some responsibilty, his uncle might still be alive.

At this very moment Peter took a resolution. He promised himself that he would never let this happen to anyone again. He would use his newly gifted powers for the greater good, to make his city safe and clean from criminals. And he gave himself a new identiy -SPIDER-MAN
